      Comments:

Some bikes are genuine watershed rides that mark a real shift in capability and character from just good to absolutely great, and the TCR Advanced is undoubtedly one of those bikes. As soon as you grab the scrawny necked Shimano brake hoods, you're immediately aware of the accuracy and precision of the front end.

        Comments:

This bike is INCREDIBLE! For the price, especially those who don't quite have the coin for the Advanced SL models, this is definitely no compromise. The construction is feather light (although not the lightest), very ridgid and super responsive to each pedal stroke, and offers great handling. Climbing ability? Awesome acceleration on the steepest of grades. This bike is bred for racing, yet offers a nice, comfy, compliant ride for the longer days such as centuries. I really like the Shimano 105 components (and it's great that Giant kept all of the components consistent). Shifting is, for the most part, smooth when on the power. Braking is nice, powerful, and offers plenty of feel. However, I wish I had some Ultegras to go with it. The Mavic CXP22's get the job done, but more experienced riders will notice a slight "mushiness" when trying to transfer maximum power to the ground for absolute maximum speed or even on grades greater than 12%. I plan on upgrading to some Bontrager Race XXX Lites and that should solve that problem. The geometry is perfect for me. My bike has already been high speed tested at 56 mph on descents and it is SUPER STABLE!! 56 mph felt like nothing to it. For anyone who cross trains seriously (I roadrace motorcycles; WSMC, WERA, etc), the avid cyclist, or even the competitve racer who lives within the peloton, this is the bike for you!
