We bought the honeybee to use behind our bike but it has gotten so much use from being used as a stroller! It's light weight and easy to maneuver. It takes only seconds to collapse. Our daughter is so comfortable inside. It has a ton of storage room as well! Fantastic and worth the investment!
I love how this so quickly and easily can change from stroller to trailer. It has helped us almost never need to use our car!
I love this trailer and so does my son. It needs an adjustable back so that when the kids are smaller you don't have to prop them up so much with blankets.
Quality materials and construction. Very well designed.
We have had our honey bee trailer for almost three months and have used it every week, often multiple times in one day. It is very convenient to bike to the grocery, then take it off the bike and shop with it as a stroller. We also like to take it on trails and around the neighborhood. It is light weight, offers a smooth ride, and has ample cargo space-we can all of our swim gear in there, which is saying a lot! It gives enough room for our 4 and 1 year olds to sit and not complain. :) Overall a great design, with just a few things that I wish were different- The cup holders are placed in such a way that they take away space from where the kids sit. It can get hot inside even with the mesh cover-I wish it had lighter colors than red and black to perhaps make it cooler The attachment to the bike can be tricky-we have gotten our fingers pinched a few times. It'd be nice to have pocket space in a different location in the cargo spot-I had my phone in the back pocket and it came out during a ride, even with the top velcroed down. Thankfully it was ok! All in all, this is a fantastic trailer that we are happy to use, and it has been a fun way to get outside and explore for our entire family.
I bought this last fall so I could continue to ride with my 2 year old son (another one coming and can't wait to get both of them out). I can be set up and ready to ride in 1-2 minutes and the ride is incredibly smooth. One of the great features of the Honey Bee is that it easily converts to a stroller. In fact, the stroller itself is as good a ride as any stroller we've tried. The ride is smooth, lots of storage, and folds up for easy travel. The only negative to the product is the inability to use some of the other attachments that Burley offers (running stroller wheel, ski attachment, etc.). I can't wait for when they release those things for this model.
We have taken the burley out 3 - 4 times and love it! We bought a second attachment piece so there is one on both my husband and I's bike, this makes it easy to switch who is pulling. I was worried it didn't have a sun strip but that hasn't been a problem. I am very happy with the quick release on the wheels. It fits in the car top box or I can put a seat down in my Subaru Outback and put that with a bike in the trunk. I do wish it would recline a bit, even though there is a helmet "bucket" my daughter (29 months) looks uncomfortable with her head tilted forward. She doesn't complain though; and she is more than capable of letting us know when she is uncomfortable. She seems to love it!
I am very impressed with the ease of setup and takedown of the Honey Bee. My 8-month-old son seems comfortable while riding, even on gravel paths! There is a ton of storage space for toys, blankets and extra layers. My only concern was when we had finished our ride, we noticed small particles of sand and slipped through the mesh on the front of the trailer and left my son sandy inside. Again, this was on a gravel path, so it was more of a user error.
I bought this trailer for my parents so we could keep a stroller and bike trailer at their house and not have schlep ours back and forth. It works great for both options. We have the Encore at home and it's definitely high quality but requires the purchase of the jogging wheel. Stroller option is great for walks but not running/gravel paths!
We use this behind our bikes, on walks, and runs. Even though it isn't necessarily the jogging and running version, it works perfectly! Love everything about it!
